The Pioneer Woman blogs about her life as a wife and mother at the ranch. Pioneer Woman Pioneer Woman has been awarded with the Weblog of the Year awards in 2009 2010 and 2011 in the Annual Weblog Awards. Her parents were from Bartlesville Oklahoma and she was raised there. While at the college level, she was studying Gerontology and journalism. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions of a Pioneer Woman is one her most visited sections. The blog was recognized as a success by several magazines for its content, ideas, and high quality photographs. The blog also features visually impressive food recipes in her blog. Her TV show was launched The Pioneer Woman in 2011 and it is still in the evenings on The Food Network. The majority of her cookbooks contain recipes. Columbia Pictures is turning her book Black Heels & Tractor Wheels into film.
