Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child at my side and other children in the cradle, I would work 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was starting to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. For this project I had planned to spend a considerable amount of money and time shopping for my dream home. For my budget to remain intact, I went with my three boys in search for bargains in estate sales. It was our weekly routine to walk around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of pieces old and newly constructed. My work days were spent at the end of the driveway, working on painting or sanding. The furniture I found looked like... this is the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. Although our house was equipped, I couldn't stop. There was an area at the local markets where I would sell my pieces. I was able to outgrow the market because I had many more pieces than I was able to use. Over 1000 people visited my home in just one weekend to purchase all the things on the ground. Growing Days is the result of this. My business was booming however my family was growing too. There was a perfect balance between starting a new business as well as being a mom. Growing Days was the obvious decision. My precious Nora was born in 2013, which was our 4th child. My business's direction was fantastic, but I needed to rest for a while. I took some time away from the old furniture in order to spend some quality time with my children. It was exactly what I was looking for at the moment. The phone rang again after some time. Many people called me for help regarding home improvements and decor. These were mostly customers who came to my open house for furniture. Once I had a few months I started taking on clients according to my schedule. In no time, I was managing numerous accounts as well as a home renovations business. You would probably have amused me if I had told you that this was going to be the subject of a DIY Network tv series. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
